    The Maine Live in Singapore
Formed in Arizona back in 2007, The Maine will now release their sixth studio album in their tenth year together as a band. Over the years, the band has been labelled as pop, alternative, rock, emo and every style in between. Now, The Maine continue to defy genre stereotypes with their newest album and independent release, Lovely Little Lonely. First single and alt-radio track, “Bad Behavior” dances its way into your head and in true pop fashion, refuses to leave - making an impact with its catchy hooks. The song tethers true to the heart of The Maine’s charm - frontman John O’Callaghan’s writing style - packaging it together as poetic pop. The album pushes into rock boundaries with tracks like “Do You Remember” while the haunting “Black Butterflies & Deja Vu” uses much softer vocals. Cohesively, the album flows together as the perfect natural evolution from their last full length, American Candy. The band allowed the fans a unique look into the creation of this record with an online web series following the studio process. The Maine continues to redefine what it means to be a band nowadays, proven when they started the year by hosting their very own music festival. The Maine is John O’Callaghan, Pat Kirch, Jared Monaco, Garrett Nickelsen, and Kennedy Brock.

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness Live in Singapore
For most of the 2000s, pianist and singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon fronted the alt-rock group Something Corporate before segueing into a poppy solo project titled Jack's Mannequin, which featured guest appearances by many of his talented musician friends. In 2013, he released his first collection of music under his own surname, The Pop Underground EP. Maintaining his usual warm, upbeat vibe, this was the first of McMahon's records to rely predominantly on electronics and synthesizers. His full-length debut, released eponymously under the Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness moniker, arrived the following year.

The Maine American Candy Tour Live in Singapore
Upsurge Productions is proud to present The Maine Live in Singapore on 15 August 2015 at TAB! This will mark the American pop-rock band’s second show after a first sold out gig two years ago in Singapore.

For The Maine, 2015 brings with it the release of a brand new album, their fifth studio record: American Candy. Alternative Press magazine praises the band for consistenly producing quality music since they began their musical journey a decade ago, adding that “there’s no one bad song on the album”.

Hailing from Phoenix Arizona, The Maine quickly gained a strong following for their infectious pop rock numbers after forming in early 2007. Their first full-length Can’t Stop Won’t Stop released via Fearless Records in 2008 to incredible fan reception.

With the momentum of their first release, The Maine dropped Black and White in the summer of 2010. It was instantly clear that what the group had was something special – it was this release that the fans and industry started to see their growth and maturity expand as creative artists and musicians.

Breaking away from the pop punk days, the band's latest release Forever Halloween takes a darker and self-reflective route. The album was recorded live through analog tape without the use of computer editing techniques. Following the success of Forever Halloween, The Maine closed out 2013 with another independent release –the self-recorded and produced acoustic EP Imaginary Numbers.

The band’s extensive worldwide tours have seen them shared the stage with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Good Charlotte, All Time Low, Arkells and more.

“Playing live is the reason we exist. The energy that we feel on stage is usually a result of what we are feeling from our fans. It’s just us conveying our experiences and feelings through our presence, and thriving off of the response we get”, says guitarist Jared Monaco.

The Maine is John O’Callaghan (lead vocalist), Pat Kirch (drummer), Kennedy Brock (rhythm guitarist), Garrett Nickelsen (bassist), and Jared Monaco (lead guitarist).

    Incubus Live in Singapore
Incubus is a famous name and formidable force in the competitive world of modern music. Having sold over 13 million albums worldwide, Incubus' extraordinary career has spanned over two decades, and includes seven studio albums, which have spawned a total of fourteen Top 10 Rock hits with four singles debuting at #1 upon their release.

When Incubus released their first full-length album ‘S.CI.E.N.C.E’, they were but wee lads overflowing with enthusiasm and energy and earned a loyal following with their unique sound and relentless touring, opening for renowned nu-metal bands such as Korn and System Of A Down. Their second effort, ‘Make Yourself, received critical acclaim and achieved double-platinum status after selling over 2 million copies. 2011’s ‘Morning View’, featuring radio hits like ‘Pardon Me’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’, catapulted the band into international stardom. Their signature blend of hip-hop, rock and metal won over the hearts of fans across the globe, and they quickly found themselves headlining bigger tours and playing at famous festivals by the likes of Ozzfest. Incubus teamed up with Pearl Jam producer Brendan O Brien for their sixth studio album ‘A Crow Left Of The Murder’, which reached gold status on the strength of the #1 hit "Megalomanic. 2006 saw Incubus realize the ultimate dream of peaking #1 on the US charts with ‘Light Grenades’. Five years after the release of ‘Light Grenades’, Incubus felt a collective itch to create again. ‘If Not Now, When’ is an unabashed, romantic, lush, sonic love letter to the world, with tracks like 'Promises, Promises' and 'Friends & Lovers' revealing new levels of elegance, space, and psychedelia in the band's ever-evolving sound.

This creative quintet proves that good things come to those who wait, and with a new album in the works, fans can expect another artistic creation inspired by beauty, destruction and many of life’s weird and wonderful experiences. Lead singer Brandon Boyd sums off the band’s journey to success in poetic fashion: “So, if success is a drug, then Incubus is a functioning addict. I know how trite it sounds to be commenting on our own success but I see our addiction as a collective one. You have enabled us thus far and what we are creating in the process will be worthy of conversation for a long time to come. When I say 'WE' I mean you and I. All of us. This is, after all, a conversation that started in the early 90's and has continued until today. A stroll along a winding path through many landscapes and over much terrain. Yes, our bones ache, our dogs are barkin', our shoes have holes in them, and we don't look as good with our shirts off anymore. But that doesn't mean we won't keep walking! And conversing along the way.”

Returning to Singapore since their first show in 2008, don’t miss a fiery performance by Incubus on March 9 2015 at The Coliseum™!

An Acoustic Night with This Wild Life
Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso knew the punk rock rulebook backwards and forwards. The duo behind This Wild Life grew up doing exactly what’s expected of kids growing up in the tightknit DIY scene in Long Beach – avoiding MTV and the radio, attending punk shows at Chain Reaction, the ear gauges, the tattoos. And of course, they started their own pop-punk band. They played fast, they played loud and they didn’t stand out from the crowd until they did the least “punk” thing possible. It was also bolder than anything in the punk rock rulebook: they got quiet.

Recorded with Aaron Marsh of Copeland, This Wild Life’s debut LP Clouded maintains the core attributes of their sound – Jordan’s vulnerable, expressive lyrics, DelGrosso’s nimble fingerpicking – while pushing themselves towards more ambitious sounds. “We tried out a string section, a female vocalist, pianos, different kinds of guitars, we didn’t want to limit ourselves,” Jordan notes. In contrast to the harsh music that This Wild Life grew up on, Jordan finds inspiration for his vocals outside the hardcore punk world. “Sara Bareilles is one of my favorites. Maybe people wouldn’t expect that. Or maybe they would,” he laughs. Clouded also bears the influence of electro-indie acts such as Daughter as well as pop-punk titans such as Paramore, whose self-titled record was This Wild Life’s favorite of 2013.

    Chiodos Live in Singapore
American post-hardcore band Chiodos are known for their ambitious, out-of-the-box songcraft and inventive arranging skills, creating aural three-ring circus songs rich in nuance and detail and driven by pulverizing, aggressive dynamics.

Their debut album, All's Well That Ends Well, hit No. 3 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart in 2004, while Chiodos burned up the road on Alternative Press' Sub Invisible Sideshow tour, the Sub City Take Action outing and the Vans Warped Tour. Its dizzy, dazzling shows built an audience that was salivating for the arrival of 2007's Bone Palace Ballet, making it an instant modern rock classic that debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Alternative Albums, Hard Rock Albums, Independent Albums and Rock Albums chart upon release.

The latest album, Devil, is Chiodos exactly the way the band, its frantically devoted fans and a legion of supporters and admirers within the music industry want to hear it. The 13-track set finds founding frontman Craig Owens back in the fold after a painful -- but, for both parties, productive -- three-year schism. It also marks drummer Derrick Frost's return to the band and the recorded debut of lead guitarist Thomas Erak, both of whom make significant impacts on DEVIL's dizzying sound collage. And in Grammy Award-winning producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Stone Sour), Chiodos found a kindred spirit visionary who drove the group to even greater and more adventures sonic heights.

The group's sights are now set in the road -- a natural habitat where it brings the music to light in a different way than it can in the studio. Owen notes that "the road is where we really get to embellish what it is that we do. I'm looking forward to sharing these songs with people and having them sing them back to me."

Anberlin ‘The Final Show’ Live in Singapore
Anberlin have been a band for 12 years. The rock group formed in central Florida in 2002 and have released six innovative and sincere albums that have affected fans in deeply emotional ways. lowborn, the band’s seventh full-length, will be their last release.

The end of Anberlin is not sad but hopeful. There is no animosity or drama, but rather a celebration of what these five musicians have achieved both in the studio and onstage. “Usually breakups happen quickly and suddenly, an implosion of sorts,” McAlhaney says. “What is unique about the end of Anberlin is that we discussed where people were at in their lives, what that meant for the band, and then made plans for the end on our own terms.”

This album brings Anberlin full circle as lowborn will be released on Tooth & Nail, the first record label to which Anberlin was signed. The group’s 2003 debut, Blueprints for the Black Market, and their two subsequent releases, came out via the label. “I remember feeling the excitement of pulling into the city of Seattle to record our first record, into the great unknown of whatever the future might hold,” Christian says. “Now I feel the excitement of the great unknown that the future holds, both experiences are life changing.”

Each musician has plans for the future after Anberlin, some concrete and some vague, some musical and some not. Those plans, in various ways, will be revealed in the coming months. For everyone, this is a celebration of what has been achieved rather than the mourning of a loss. “This is the end of an era of my life,” Rexroat says. “A long and great era. It also means a new beginning. It’s overwhelming to think about filling all my time with something new, but it’s also exciting.”

Singapore's very own local favourite, Caracal, supported Anberlin for their final show in Singapore.

We The Kings Live in Singapore
Upsurge Productions is excited to present pop-rock band We The Kings first live concert performance in Singapore! Since forming in high school in Florida, We the Kings have rung up a string of top 10 rock albums (2007’s We the Kings, 2009’s Smile Kid and 2011’s Sunshine State of Mind) and several hit singles (“Check Yes Juliet”, “Say You Like Me”, “We’ll Be A Dream” featuring Demi Lovato). Along the way, they have toured the world several times over and earned an extraordinarily dedicated fan base.

The band decided to approach their fourth album, Somewhere Somehow, differently by going completely DIY. “We wanted to make this record completely fan-based,” explains Clark. Working with Metro Station’s Blake Healy, multi-instrumentalist/producer Steve Shebby and Clark’s own brother Taylor, Somewhere Somehow showcases the band at both their most ambitious and accessible.

This increasingly personal side to We the Kings now extends off the record. Recently, several members of the band started video blogs, documenting their everyday life on YouTube. “It’s so people understand why we write the songs we do,” says the singer. Of particular note is bass player Charles Trippy, who chronicles his struggles and triumphs while battling brain tumour on his personal Youtube page.

We the Kings may have changed their style over the years. But their mission remains the same."The goal of our band since day one, even from the first album, is to make the world a happier place,” says Clark. “This album just takes it full circle.”

Known for their charismatic live performance, We The Kings will be taking centre stage at The Coliseum™, on 4 June 2014 for their long-awaited concert!

Taking Back Sunday Live in Singapore
Taking Back Sunday is a band who truly needs no introduction. Since forming in Long Island, the group has sold millions of albums, evolved from a scrappy punk act into seasoned songwriters and continued to forge a successful career. 2014 looks to be the beginning of a new chapter of innovation and productivity from this celebrated rock act, with a new album to be released in spring under Hopeless Records produced by Marc Jacob Hudson (Saves The Day, The Swellers) and Mike Sapone (Brand New, O’Brother).

This will be the group's second album since reviving the classic lineup of vocalist Adam Lazzara, guitarist/vocalist John Nolan, guitarist Eddie Reyes, bassist Shaun Cooper and drummer Mark O'Connell. Written over a year period with no involvement from a record label for the first time since their legendary 2002 debut, Tell All Your Friends, the album sees the band expanding their musical palette and stretching out sonically in ways they’ve never done before.

Fans of Taking Back Sunday will also rejoice at the fact that Happiness Is sees the band’s enigmatic frontman at his most personal. Ultimately this search for meaning and pursuit of progress lies at the core of why the band has managed to retain a fervent fanbase over the years and survive numerous passing trends. But it’s also important to note that none of the band members take any part of this experience for granted. “A band is always going to think their newest work is their best, but for me personally, there are several songs on ‘Happiness Is’ that continue to give me chills each and every time I hear them. I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished with this record and I cannot wait to share it with the world,” says Cooper.

August Burns Red x blessthefall “Half Way Across The World Tour” Live in Singapore
From the cover of Alternative Press to Fox’s “American Dad,” from the sands of Dubai to the Warped Tour, from Japan to Australia to South America, AUGUST BURNS RED crisscrossed the globe time and again on the road to the top of the hard rock heap.

Their fourth full-length album, Leveler, ABR could have played it safe, could have simply cashed in on their previous success by making Constellations II. Instead, after eight years and a quarter of a million albums sold, AUGUST BURNS RED scrapped the old game plan and followed their sound where it led them. The breathtaking result is nothing short of a game-changer.

Sharing the same stage with ABR are their good pals from Arizonia, The band stormed to the forefront with the release of critically-acclaimed second album "Witness", produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette (Incubus, Escape The Fate, Story Of The Year). Their third album, Awakening, has already been named by Alternative Press as one of 2011’s Most Anticipated Albums.

"With all the bands in the scene it's hard to stand out," says lead singer Beau Bokan. "Anyone can go into a studio and make an over produced album that sounds amazing, but if they can't pull it off live it means nothing. We pride ourselves on our live show, and we want people to walk away from our live show and be blown away. We leave our hearts on the stage every night.
